() ​You know what gets you about this land? It never gives you just one reason to love it becouse it puts ten different ones right in front of you on the very same day.

​You spend the morning filling your lungs on Monte Cucco, with the wind, the open sky, totally immersed in nature. A few hours later, you find yourself walking through the olive groves around Trevi, with that pale green shimmering in the light. Then you stop in Perugia in front of the Temple of Sant’Angelo, which feels like it’s standing there guarding an ancient silence, or you catch yourself looking up in awe at the Cathedral of Spoleto, wondering how anyone could build something so beautiful. And by evening, you might end up breathing in the pure peace of tiny spots like Poggio Lavarino, where time has literally come to a standstill.

​That’s the thing it’s this strange mix of grand nature and living stone that stays inside you. No need to make plans but just come here, take the first step and let yourself be carried away.

() ​Sapete cos’è che vi frega di questa terra? Che non vi lascia mai un solo motivo per amarla, ma ve ne mette davanti dieci diversi nello stesso giorno.

​Passi la mattina a riempirti i polmoni sul Monte Cucco, dove c’è vento, cielo aperto immersi nella natura. Qualche ora dopo ti ritrovi a camminare tra gli ulivi attorno a Trevi, con quel verde chiaro che si muove sotto la luce. Poi ti fermi a Perugia davanti al Tempio di Sant’Angelo, che sembra stare lì a proteggere un silenzio antico o ti ritrovi col naso all'insù di fronte alla Cattedrale di Spoleto, chiedendoti come si possa costruire qualcosa di così bello. E magari la sera finisci a respirare la pace vera di posti piccoli piccoli come Poggio Lavarino, dove il tempo si è letteralmente fermato.

​Ecco, è questo strano incastro tra natura gigante e pietre vive che ti resta dentro. Non serve fare piani: basta venire qui, fare il primo passo e lasciarsi portare.
