> Many many years ago, the Nymph Agilla who lived on the Umbrian lake, fell in love with Prince Trasimeno, son of the Etruscan king Tyrrhenian. The two married, but their happiness lasted just one day: Trasimeno, taking a bath in the lake, disappeared and did not resurface anymore. Agilla desperately looked for him in vain and ended her days on a small boat in the middle of the mirror of water. Even today, when the "Lake of Trasimeno" turns red at sunset, one can hear the voice of the nymph invoking her husband.

Ancora oggi, quando il “lago di Trasimeno” si tinge di rosso allora del tramonto, si può sentire la voce della ninfa che invoca il suo sposo.
