> The sanctuary of the Madonna della Stella is a Catholic building located in the municipality of Montefalco, in the province of Perugia; the name also indicates the homonymous hamlet of the municipality. The small town is located halfway between Montefalco and Spoleto, in the center of the Spoleto plain.

On the place where the current sanctuary stands, there was a small church dedicated to St. Bartholomew the Apostle, almost completely ruined. Only the apse was still in good condition, and there was a fresco representing the Madonna seated on a small throne with the baby Jesus on her knees. The painting, which is now located above the main altar of the Sanctuary, dates back to 1520 and is the work of Paolo Bontulli da Percanestro (Camerino MC), an itinerant painter.

> Il santuario della Madonna della Stella è un edificio di culto cattolico situato nel comune di Montefalco, in provincia di Perugia; il nome indica anche l'omonima frazione del comune. Il piccolo paese si trova a metà strada tra Montefalco e Spoleto, al centro della pianura spoletina.

Sul luogo dove sorge l'attuale santuario esisteva una piccola chiesa dedicata a San Bartolomeo apostolo, quasi completamente rovinata. Solo l'abside era ancora in buone condizioni, e vi era conservato un affresco rappresentante la Madonna seduta su un piccolo trono con il bimbo Gesù sulle ginocchia. Il dipinto, che ora è collocato sopra l'altare maggiore del Santuario, risale al 1520 ed è opera di Paolo Bontulli da Percanestro (Camerino MC), pittore itinerante.
