> It is the afternoon of October 30th 1977 and under the incessant rain the great "Perugia of the miracles" faces Juventus at the Pian di Massiano stadium.

There is an important precedent: the very young midfielder Renato Curi, on the last day of the 1975/1976 season scored against the Bianconeri, under the North Curve, the victory gol for the "Grifoni", giving the title to Torino grenade, precisely against the "Old Lady".

Curi is also on the field that October 30th and at the fifth minute of the second half he makes a run to catch the ball. Then a moment, a damn moment and Renato collapses to the ground. Silence falls, the player is immediately taken to the hospital. But it's all useless.

At the end of the game the speaker Sandro Ciotti announces that the twenty-four year old of Marche origins is dead. On the cheeks of the spectators the tears melt with the rain. It also rains during the funeral, as if God were crying his champion.

The eight stitched on the shirt is the mathematical symbol of infinity, an infinite red and white love, an indissoluble love that not even death has managed to divide.

The Grifo house today bears the name of the unforgettable Renato Curi.

> É il pomeriggio del 30 ottobre 1977 e sotto una pioggia incessante il grande Perugia dell'era dei miracoli affronta la Juventus allo stadio di Pian di Massiano.

C'è un precedente importante: il giovanissimo centrocampista Renato Curi nell'ultima giornata della stagione 1975/76 aveva realizzato sotto la curva nord la rete che aveva tolto lo scudetto ai bianconeri regalando il titolo alla Torino granata.

Curi è in campo anche quel 30 ottobre e al quinto minuto della ripresa tenta uno scatto per recuperare il pallone. Poi un attimo, un maledetto istante e Renato si accascia a terra. Cala il silenzio, i soccorsi sono immediati e il giocatore viene portato immediatamente all'ospedale. Ma è tutto inutile.

A fine partita lo speaker Sandro Ciotti annuncia che il ventiquattrenne di origini marchigiane è morto. Sulle guance degli spettatori le lacrime si fondono alla pioggia. Piove anche durante il funerale, come se Dio stesse piangendo il suo campione.

L'otto cucito sulla maglia è non a caso il simbolo matematico dell'infinito, un infinito amore biancorosso, legame indissolubile che neanche la morte è riuscita a dividere.

La casa del Grifo oggi porta il nome dell'indimenticabile Renato Curi.
