The "British Museum" in London (England) forms an important collection of ceramic objects from Deruta, Gualdo, Orvieto and Gubbio.
This post is dedicated to a beautiful dish produced in Gubbio in 1530 and repainted in 1531, purchased by the English museum in 1851. The author is not indicated.
At the center a beautiful woman profile on a blue background and a parchment with the inscription "IPOLITA DIVA"; on the edge a decoration characterized by fantasy figures (grotesque), human, animal and plant.

Il “ British Museum” di Londra (Inghilterra) costodisce una importante collezione di oggetti in ceramica provenienti da Deruta, Gualdo, Orvieto e Gubbio.
Questo post è dedicato ad un bellissimo piatto prodotto proprio a Gubbio nel 1530 e ridipinto nel 1531, acquistato dal museo inglese nel 1851. Non è indicato l’autore.
Al centro un bel profilo di donna su un fondo blu ed una pergamena con la scritta "IPOLITA DIVA"; sul bordo una decorazione caratterizzata da figure di fantasia (grottesche), umane, animali e vegetali.
