Second Franciscan seat in Perugia, dating back to the middle of the 13th century, it has experienced collapses and reconstructions over the centuries. The current façade was rebuilt in 1929 with marble inlays of various colors according to the Cosmatesque style.

The church, lacking interior furnishings and being renovated, is destined to house the city auditorium.

The adjoining convent, like many religious structures, after the unification of Italy underwent the demanization and is currently the seat of the "Pietro Vannucci" Academy of Fine Arts and its museum.

Seconda sede francescana a Perugia, risalente alla metà dl XIII sec., ha vissuto nei secoli crolli e rifacimenti. La facciata attuale venne ricostruita nel 1929 con intarsi di marmi di vari colori secondo il gusto cosmatesco.

La chiesa, priva degli arredi interni e in corso di ristrutturazione, è destinata ad ospitare l’auditorium cittadino.

L’attiguo convento, come molte strutture religiose, dopo l’unità d’Italia ha subito la demanizzazione ed è attualmente sede dell’Accademia di Belle Arti “Pietro Vannucci” e del suo museo.
