A sumptuous historical procession, composed of 400 figures, precedes the religious procession with the relic of the miracle of Bolsena. On the eve the parade of the Ladies: the nobles of the districts attend the solemn vespers in the Cathedral and then a show of musicians and flag-wavers in the square.

> Per la solennità del Corpus Domini a Orvieto (TR) si ricorda con una processione storica, regolarizzata nel 1338, l'istituzione della festa del Corpus Domini, avvenuta per volontà di papa Urbano IV tramite la bolla "Transiturus", emanata l'8 settembre 1264 a Orvieto e diretta a tutta la cattolicità. Un sontuoso corteo storico, composto da 400 figuranti, precede la processione religiosa con la reliquia del miracolo di Bolsena. La vigilia si svolge il Corteo delle Dame: i nobili dei quartieri assistono ai solenni vespri in Duomo e poi ad uno spettacolo di musici e sbandieratori in piazza.
