This wonderful fresco, dated to the fifteenth century and attributed to the school of Pinturicchio, depicts the Virgin on the throne with the Child, San Silvestro, the 33rd bishop of Rome and Pope of the Catholic Church and San Rocco, a French pilgrim and thaumaturge showing the visitor the visible signs of the plague.

Coming from the Church of Santa Maria della Neve, a small church built around 1492 in Montelagello, a fraction of the Municipality of Marsciano, today the work is in the collection of the dynamic Museum of brick and terracotta of Marsciano.

The Museo di Marsciano is part of the "Lands and Museums of Umbria" and can be visited with the unique ticket of the circuit.

Questo meraviglioso affresco, datato al XV secolo e attribuito alla scuola del Pinturicchio, raffigura la Vergine in trono con il Bambino, San Silvestro, il 33° vescovo di Roma e Papa della Chiesa Cattolica e San Rocco, pellegrino e taumaturgo francese che mostra al visitatore i visibili segni della peste.

Proveniente dalla Chiesa di Santa Maria della Neve, una piccola chiesa costruita intorno al 1492 a Montelagello, una frazione del Comune di Marsciano, oggi l'opera è nella collezione del Museo dinamico del laterizio e delle terrecotte di Marsciano.

Il Museo di Marsciano fa parte di "Terre e Musei dell'Umbria" ed è visitabile con il biglietto unico del circuito.
