I have always felt very strong in me the responsibility of doing something for the heritage that surrounds me, certainly due to the fact that i was born and grown in a land extremely rich in history, art and nature and in a jewel city like Perugia of which I am deeply in love.
In my personal idea of a good citizen there is the care for places that we every day live in, that must be protected and enhanced. The Italian historical centres are our great treasures and must return to be the real engines of the country. Those are the ideals that guide me in life and my job reflects them.
I have a degree in Topographic Archaeology and I mainly worked in the fileds of archaeology and cultural & turistic promotion, in Italy and abroad. When I enrolled in University, in addition to the passion for art and ancient cultures, I’ve been pushed by the desire to make archaeology an alternative way to see the world. Over the years I realized that I was not made to be locked in a library but I felt strong in me the need to communicate. That's why I become a tour guide!!! A job that is not much a job, but more a need that responds to my constant desire of being in touch with people and to my constant desire of knowlwdge (I confess, I still love to be locked in libraries!).
Which is my mission?
My dream is to make local reality cohabit with the international context: I have the huge luck of living in a wonderful country that needs to be known and understood. And here comes my mission: I feel like the voice of the silent stones of my town of which I want to tell the story to those who can not penetrate it, just because they belong to different cultures. You can see me like a sort of transalator that escorts them in a universe that’s just apparently far. I say apparently because the coolest thing in my job is discovering that from comparison always grows unity!
Why choosing my tours?
As archaeologist, my tours often lead to underground, to what you do not see but exists indeed: because very often we are careless witnesses of our cities, which has to be investigated indeed. Underground also suggests a way to be: it means don’t homologate and follow your own instinct. That’s why my tours follow non-conventional routes and offer hints and points of view that are different from those of classical touristic routes.

Ho sempre sentito molto forte in me la responsabilità di fare qualcosa per il patrimonio che mi circonda, complice sicuramente il fatto di essere nata e cresciuta in una terra ricchissima di storia, arte e natura e in un gioiello di città come Perugia, della quale sono profondamente innamorata.
Nella mia personale idea di buon cittadino rientra la cura per i luoghi in cui viviamo tutti i giorni, che vanno tutelati e valorizzati. I centri storici italiani sono il nostro grande tesoro e devono tornare ad essere motori d’attrazione del Paese. Questi sono gli ideali che mi guidano nella vita e il mio lavoro li riflette.
Sono laureata in Archeologia Topografica ed ho lavorato prevalentemente nel campo dell’archeologia e della promozione turistico-culturale, in Italia e all’estero. Quando mi sono iscritta all’Università, oltre alla passione per l’arte e le culture antiche, mi ha spinto il desiderio di fare dell’archeologia un modo alternativo per vedere il mondo. Negli anni ho capito che non ero fatta per rimanere chiusa in una biblioteca, ma sentivo forte in me la necessità di comunicare. È per questo che sono diventata una Guida Turistica!!! Un lavoro che non è tanto un lavoro, quanto piuttosto un bisogno che risponde al mio costante desiderio di conoscere persone e al mio costante desiderio di conoscenza (anche se confesso, amo ancora rinchiudermi nelle biblioteche!).
Qual è il mio obiettivo?
Il mio sogno è far convivere la realtà locale con il contesto internazionale: ho la grande fortuna di vivere in un Paese meraviglioso che ha bisogno di essere conosciuto e capito. E qui mi inserisco io: una sorta di portavoce delle pietre silenti della mia città, delle quali voglio raccontare la storia a quelle persone che, appartenendo a culture diverse, non potrebbero penetrarla senza un traduttore che le accompagni in un mondo solo apparentemente lontano. E dico apparentemente, perché poi il bello del mio lavoro è scoprire che dal confronto nasce sempre l’unità!
Perché scegliere i miei tour?
Da archeologa, i miei tour portano spesso al sotterraneo, a ciò che non si vede ma c’è: perché troppo spesso siamo testimoni disattenti delle nostre città che invece vanno sapute indagare. Underground è anche un modo di essere: significa non omologarsi e seguire il proprio istinto. È per questo che i miei tour seguono percorsi non convenzionali e offrono spunti e punti di vista differenti da quelli dei classici giri turistici.
Il mio motto è:
Non importa quanto si va lontano: un’esperienza straordinaria si può vivere anche vicino casa, perché l’avventura va saputa creare! Scoprire sempre!
