> The plan of the castle of Castel Ritaldi (Umbria) is rectangular, enclosed in a circular wall system with square external towers, loopholes and bombard holes.
After the 14th century, the village was formed within the high ramparts with its characteristic streets.
From the external square, through an ancient flint arched door, you enter the castle that preserves valuable works of art.
Towards the door there is the ancient residence of the castellan and the guardhouse with a roof and loggia from the 15th century that overlook an imposing staircase.

Dopo il XIV secolo all’interno degli alti bastioni si formò il borgo con le sue caratteristiche vie.
Dalla piazza esterna, attraverso un’antica porta in selce ad arco acuto, si accede al castello che conserva pregevoli opere d’arte.
Verso la porta si trovano l’antica residenza del castellano e del corpo di guardia con tettoia e loggia del secolo XV che sovrastano un’imponente scalinata.
