In the church of Sant'Andrea in Spello (Perugia), Pinturicchio, with the collaboration of Eusebio da San Giorgio (Perugia, around 1465; died after 1540), left, between 1507 and 1508, another of his masterpieces , a "Madonna in throne and saints" (oil on panel; 318 x 257 cm).
This post is dedicated to a small but superb detail of this painting, the "San Giovannino writer sitting on the step", certainly entirely painted by Pinturicchio himself.

Nella chiesa di Sant'Andrea in Spello (Perugia), il Pinturicchio, con la collaborazione di Eusebio da san Giorgio (Perugia, 1465 circa; morto dopo il 1540), ha lasciato, tra il 1507 ed il 1508, un altro dei suoi capolavori, una “Madonna in trono e santi” (olio su tavola; 318 x 257 cm).
Questo post è dedicato ad un piccolo superbo particolare di questo dipinto, il “San Giovannino scrivente seduto sul gradino”, di certo interamente dipinto dallo stesso Pinturicchio.
