Legend has it that Gaglietole was originally born as a settlement of the Celtic Gauls, who came down from Padania and infiltrated the Umbrian people to encircle the Etruscan power.
The castle of Gaglietole already had 52 "fires" in 1299 and is still very well preserved today; inside it houses the parish church of San Cristoforo.
