> Solomeo is one of the eight villages of Corciano.
In the territory of Solomeo, Etruscan finds from the 3rd century were found. B.C. and perhaps from the name of the Etruscan divinity Lumn comes the syncretic term San Lumeo. The castrum Solomei, a fortification to defend the countryside, was then built in 1391 by Meo di Giovanni di Nicola Galassi and Pietro Tanoli, at the request of the magistrates of Perugia.

Solomeo is a lovely place where you feel guarded by Beauty, where every year cultural events and historical re-enactments animate the most fascinating places of this fourteenth-century village.
