Among the hills covered with olive trees that hold hands, stand out in the clear sky the “torre di preghiera e la torre di imperio di Corciano”, a castle gathered in the round in its stone ring stopped by the Tower of Porta Santa Maria.

Elegantly nestled on the slopes of the castle, the Church of San Francesco, with its discreet beauty, dressed in limestone with pink and cream shades, testifies, with his mild gaze, the intimate peace and simplicity of this place that St. Francis raised to poetry

Grazie alla gentile disponibilità del Comune di Corciano vi presentiamo questo bellissimo borgo attraverso foto e descrizione che vi daranno modo di conoscerla ed amarla

Tra colline vestite di ulivi che si tengono per mano, svettano nel cielo terso la torre di preghiera e la torre d’imperio di Corciano, castello raccolto a tondo nel suo anello di pietra fermato dal Torrione di Porta Santa Maria.

Elegantemente adagiata sulle pendici del castello, la Chiesa di San Francesco, con la sua discreta bellezza, vestita di pietra calcarea dalle sfumature rosa e panna, testimonia, col suo sguardo mite, la pace intima e la semplicità di questo luogo che San Francesco elevò a poesia.

Il borgo è un’armonica geometria di gradini, che disegnano vicoli assolati tra antiche mura di pietra e chiese, custodi di silenzio e spiritualità che fanno da eco al canto dei menestrelli che risuona tra le antiche vie in un gioco di luci ed ombre.

Il castello, con le sue mura e le sue immense porte, abbozza percorsi per colui che lo attraversa e, catturandone lo sguardo con i suoi particolari, lo induce a scoprirne vicoli e piazze.
