To mention the longest siege to which the town was subject, that of 1522 by Picozzo Brancaleoni, which was however rejected thanks to the presence of the castle and the mighty walls that at the time completely surrounded the city.
Today this village enjoys a truly unique landscape, due to the particular beauty of the Nera valley in this area.

Da citare il più lungo assedio a cui la cittadina fu sottoposta, quello del 1522 ad opera di Picozzo Brancaleoni, che tuttavia fu respinto grazie alla presenza del castello e alle possenti mura che all'epoca circondavano interamente la città.
Oggi tale borgo gode di un paesaggio veramente singolare, dovuto alla particolare bellezza della vallata del Nera in questa zona.
