In Deruta houses clay is not just a material used to make beautiful works of art. It's much more!
It is the basis of a thousand-year tradition made of culture, ingenuity and passion that indistinctly marked the lives of all families, including ours for the origins of Roberta (owner of the farm).
In our country home, even if far from Deruta, a tangible sign of necessary contact with ceramics. This is why we turned to a family friend, the master Luigi Ricciarelli, who with experience and ability, has created the wonderful ceramic that characterizes our breakfast room.
He wanted to represent, in Renaissance style, the hard work of the olive harvest and the processing processes that, in an archaic way, survived until a few years ago. The great stone millstones and the capacious ziri of terracotta, which filled, represented one of the few "riches" of the peasant families.
At the center of the picture, just as in reality, our house is located on the slopes of a hill of centuries-old olive trees.

Nelle case derutesi l’argilla non è soltanto un materiale utilizzato per realizzare splendide opere d’arte. È molto di più!
È alla base di una tradizione millenaria fatta di cultura, di ingegno e di passione che, indistintamente, ha segnato la vita di tutte le famiglie, compresa la nostra per le origini di Roberta (titolare dell'Agriturismo).
Nella nostra dimora di campagna, pur se lontana da Deruta, non poteva mancare un segno tangibile di necessario contatto con la ceramica. Per questo ci siamo rivolti ad un amico di famiglia, il maestro Luigi Ricciarelli, che con sapienza e abilità, ha realizzato la splendida ceramica che caratterizza la nostra sala colazioni.
Ha voluto rappresentare, in stile rinascimentale, il duro lavoro della raccolta delle olive e i processi di lavorazione che, in maniera arcaica, hanno sopravvissuto fino a pochi anni fa. Le grandi macine di pietra e i capienti ziri di cotto che, colmi, rappresentavano una delle poche “ricchezze” delle famiglie contadine.
Al centro del quadro, proprio come nella realtà, è ritratta la nostra casa posta sulle pendici di un colle di olivi secolari.
