Holofernes is a biblical figure. He was the leader of the Assyrian army who besieged Betulia, became a proverbial figure of pride punished.

Oloferne è una figura biblica. Era il condottiero dell'esercito assiro che assediava Betulia, è divenuto figura proverbiale di superbia punita.
