> Our HISTORY begins in 1945, when my father Ubaldo Angeletti decided to open a hotel with bar and restaurant in the house where he lived, just in front of the Basilica of San Francesco (hence the name of the place) and began this adventure with me mother Elena who took care of the kitchen. Years passed and the restaurant, detached from the hotel became a place from which all the most important initiatives were born.

The RESTAURANT offers the characteristic Assisi hospitality and a creative cuisine in its simplicity. The style of Carlo Angeletti captures what is good in traditional Umbrian culture and then compares it to the needs of our times, with the need for lightness and with the desire to experiment.
The room: elegant and unique for its wonderful location right in front of the Basilica of San Francesco, symbol of art and religion that dominates the majestic green Umbrian countryside.

The BAR. Those who enter are immediately enveloped by the charming and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. Elegant showcases welcome the offers of various products for assortment, quality and originality ranging from precious blends of tea, jams, refined chocolate bars and accessories for the table and tea.

> La nostra STORIA inizia nel 1945, quando mio padre Ubaldo Angeletti decise di aprire un albergo con bar e ristorante nella casa dove abitava, proprio di fronte alla Basilica di San Francesco (da cui deriva il nome del locale) e iniziò questa avventura con mia madre Elena che si occupava della cucina. Gli anni passavano ed il ristorante, staccatosi dall'albergo divenne un luogo da cui sono poi nate tutte le più importanti iniziative.

Il RISTORANTE offre la caratteristica ospitalità assisana e una cucina creativa nella sua semplicità. Lo stile di Carlo Angeletti coglie quanto c'è di buono nella cultura tradizionale umbra e poi lo confronta con le esigenze dei nostri tempi, con il bisogno di leggerezza e con la voglia di sperimentare.
