St. Francis decides to live it in total solitude and fasting on the Isola Maggiore of Lake Trasimeno. A friend of his accompanied him to the island, where Francesco brought only two loaves with him.
When, forty days later, he returned to retrieve it, he realized that he had still kept one bread and a half.
Before crossing the lake, greets his beloved birds.

San Francesco decide di viverla in totale solitudine e digiuno all'Isola Maggiore del Lago Trasimeno. Un suo amico lo accompagnò sull’isola, dove Francesco portò con sé solo due pani.
Quando, quaranta giorni dopo, tornò a riprenderlo, si accorse che aveva ancora conservato un pane e mezzo.
