> In the small village of SAN NICOLO' DI CELLE there is a wonderful church dedicated to St. Nicholas of Bari built after 1100. It consists of a single nave supported by three arches with pillars, from the main altar and the presbytery, in 1908 they built the four side altars and last decorated.

The name of this charming village derives from the union between the name of the saint venerated on the spot, San Nicola, with the term Celle, probably referring to the presence of a certain number of monastic cells in the surroundings. The small town developed in fact in the Middle Ages after the arrival of the Benedictines, who cleared and reclaimed the marshes.

> Nel piccolo paesino di SAN NICOLO' DI CELLE c'è una meravigliosa Chiesa dedicata a S. Nicola di Bari costruita dopo il 1100. Costituita da sola navata sostenuta da tre archi con relativi pilastri, dall'altare maggiore e il presbiterio, nel 1908 costruirono i quattro altari laterali e ultimi decorata.

Il toponimo il nome di questo grazioso paesino deriva dall'unione tra il nome del santo venerato in loco, San Nicola, con il termine Celle, probabilmente riferito alla presenza di un certo numero di celle monastiche nei dintorni. Il piccolo centro si sviluppò infatti in età medievale dopo l'arrivo dei Benedettini, che disboscarono e bonificarono gli acquitrini.
