> The MUSEO DELLA CANAPA is located in the sixteenth-century town hall of Sant’Anatolia di Narco and it is one of the “antennas” of the Ecomuseum of the Umbrian Appenine Ridge.

The museum collects traces of material culture, multimedia testimonies, stories and interpretations of hemp in various contexts.

MISSION: The Hemp Museum is a meeting place for the exchange of practices and transmission of skills. Textile production is the focus of the museum experience creating opportunities for dialogue between institutions, students, museum experts, holders of the local tradition and weaving apprentices.

Through practice and creative reflection on weaving, the museum tells the history of the territory through the cultural interpretations of hemp.

The museum collects traces of material culture, multimedia testimonies, stories and interpretations of hemp in various contexts. Our installations invite our guests to discover the relationship between objects and their functions, decoding and linking patterns of action and thought.

The Hemp Museum is one of the “branches” of the Ecomuseum of the Umbrian Appenine Ridge, recognised by the regional system of the Ecomuseums starting from 2011.

> Il MUSEO DELLA CANAPA ha sede nel cinquecentesco palazzo comunale di Sant’Anatolia di Narco e costituisce una delle antenne dell’Ecomuseo della Dorsale Appennica Umbra.

Gli spazi museali accolgono tracce della cultura materiale, testimonianze multimediali e cenni d’interpretazione.

OBBIETTIVO: Il Museo della Canapa è un luogo di incontro, scambio di pratiche e trasmissione di competenze, in cui il progetto tessile, fulcro dell’esperienza didattica, costruisce opportunità di dialogo tra istituzioni, nuove generazioni e di professionisti museali, detentori della tradizione e apprendisti tessitori.

Attraverso la pratica e la riflessione sulla tessitura produce percorsi di rielaborazione creativa del patrimonio, sperimenta forme di paesaggio legate al ciclo della canapa ed incentiva nuove tecniche e tecnologie.

Gli spazi museali accolgono tracce della cultura materiale, testimonianze multimediali e cenni d’interpretazione; il percorso invita il visitatore a scoprire le relazioni tra gli oggetti, la loro funzione e a decodificarne schemi di azione e di pensiero.

Il Museo della Canapa costituisce una delle antenne dell'Ecomuseo della Dorsale Appenninica Umbra riconosciuto nel sistema regionale degli Ecomusei a partire dal 2011.
