> LA POSTA DI CONFINE is a luxury holiday farmhouse set in the scenic area that extends from Perugia to Lake Trasimeno within a short distance of the historic centre of Corciano, a charming village that has earned a rightful position in the list of Italy's Most Beautiful Villages.
The property borders an ancient woodland of Holm oaks within a vast and still-pristine protected natural environment.

The place evokes a distinct charm that makes it perfect for a romantic getaway immersed in the stillness of nature, a vacation in a luxury farmhouse that offers exquisite rooms and apartments decorated with antique furniture.

Careful restoration preserved the original architectural features of an old building erected in the shape of a tower. The building served as a checkpoint along the path that wayfarers had to travel to avoid the marshy fields where woad (Isatis tinctoria) was grown for its fabric-dyeing pigment.
The Tower, which dates back to 1500 and overlooks a short stretch of the ancient road, was at the boundary between the lands under the jurisdiction of the Castle of Mantignana and the Castle of Caligiana. Enlarged and incorporated into the farmhouse, it is now fully part of the country resort.

> LA POSTA DI CONFINE, agriturismo di lusso in Umbria, si trova a pochi chilometri dal centro storico di Corciano, uno dei Borghi più Belli D’Italia, in quella suggestiva parte dell'Umbria che si estende fra Perugia e il Lago Trasimeno.
La struttura sorge ai margini di un bosco di lecci secolari, in una vasta area protetta che conserva ancora caratteristiche ambientali uniche.

Il luogo possiede un fascino particolare ideale per un soggiorno romantico immersi nella quiete della natura, dove trascorrere vacanze in agriturismo di lusso dotato di raffinate camere da letto e appartamenti arredati con mobili antichi.
Un attento restauro ha permesso la salvaguardia degli elementi storici di un antico edificio che fu costruito, in forma di Torre, come “posta di confine” e di controllo, lungo il percorso che i viandanti erano costretti a seguire per evitare le paludose terre del “guado”, ovvero la pianta dalla quale si otteneva una tintura per i tessuti.

La Torre del 1500 che si affaccia su un breve tratto dell'antica via, sorgeva al confine dei territori soggetti ai Castelli di Mantignana e di Caligiana, fu ampliata e inglobata nella dimora di campagna ed ora è parte integrante della struttura ricettiva.
La sensazione che si prova in questo romantico luogo è quella di trovarsi in un piccolo borgo nel quale, un tempo, la vita era scandita dall'avvicendarsi delle stagioni e delle attività agricole.

Per chi sa “ascoltare” sarà possibile rivivere atmosfere e pezzi di vita quotidiana di coloro che nei secoli scorsi hanno abitato, spesso con grandi sacrifici ma sempre con estrema dignità, questo luogo impregnato di storia: le pietre e i mattoni saranno i testimoni.
