> A VILLAGE TO DISCOVER
Set on the sweet hill of Solomeo, immersed in the Umbrian hills and evergreen woods, this fourteenth-century village relives the original medieval and Renaissance forms that have always characterized it. Built between the end of the twelfth century and the first half of the thirteenth, it develops on the settlement of a previous rural complex called Villa Solomei which, in the spring of 1391, was fortified with the construction of the current castle of Solomeo. During the sixteenth century, probably driven by a resumption of demographic development, the inhabited nucleus expanded beyond the walls of Caserta and in 1729 the town developed along the entire south-east route of the walls themselves. The castle, the ancient Parish Church, the seventeenth-century villa Antinori and the Cucinelli Theater are the background to a suggestive reality rich in historical, artistic and landscape beauties. Starting from 1985 Brunello Cucinelli has made the village the seat of his humanistic enterprise.

- HISTORIC VILLAGE
The inhabited nucleus of Villa Solomei initially consisted of a palace, a casamentum, twelve domus, two casalini and the Church of San Bartolomeo. Only later a small fort was added near the palace and the inhabited nucleus expanded beyond the walls of the castrate.

- CUCINELLI THEATER
Of extraordinary elegance and proportion, it is the central moment of the Foro delle Arti. Inspired by the Farnese theaters of Parma and Sabbioneta since 2008 it hosts a qualified season of music, prose and ballet with internationally renowned artists.

> UN BORGO DA SCOPRIRE
Adagiato sul dolce colle di Solomeo, immerso tra le colline umbre e boschi sempreverdi questo borgo trecentesco rivive le originarie forme medievali e rinascimentali che da sempre lo caratterizzano. Edificato tra la fine del XII secolo e la prima metà del XIII, si sviluppa sull’insediamento di un precedente complesso rurale denominato Villa Solomei che, nella primavera del 1391, venne fortificato con la costruzione dell'attuale castello di Solomeo. Nel corso del XVI secolo, probabilmente sulla spinta di una ripresa dello sviluppo demografico, il nucleo abitato si espande oltre le mura castrensi e nel 1729 l'abitato si sviluppa lungo l’intero percorso sud-est delle mura stesse. Il castello, l'antica Chiesa Parrocchiale, la seicentesca villa Antinori e il Teatro Cucinelli fanno da sfondo ad una suggestiva realtà ricca di bellezze storiche, artistiche e paesaggistiche. A partire dal 1985 Brunello Cucinelli ha fatto del borgo la sede della sua impresa umanistica.

- BORGO STORICO
Il nucleo abitato di Villa Solomei, inizialmente era costituito da un palazzo, un casamentum, dodici domus, due casalini e la Chiesa di San Bartolomeo. Solo in seguito si aggiunse un piccolo fortilizio a ridosso del palazzo e il nucleo abitato si espanse oltre le mura castrensi.

- TEATRO CUCINELLI
Di straordinaria eleganza e proporzione, è il momento centrale del Foro delle Arti. Ispirato ai teatri Farnese di Parma e di Sabbioneta dal 2008 ospita una qualificata stagione di musica, prosa e balletto con artisti di fama internazionale.
