> HISTORY: On the outside walls can "read" the story of the building. Rodella family owns it since 2005. The twin brothers, Stefano and Andrea, are the chefs, parents are a bit 'all-rounders and Samuel manages the restaurant and reception with his wife. The restructuring of what was an old farmhouse began in 1998 and ended in 2000. It was inhabited until the late '50s by a large group of family farmers, . Its construction dates back to the early '600 and seems to have been commissioned by the church. It was built to give relief to horses and riders on the road leading to the Pope in Rome. The ground floor, the restaurant today, was once occupied by the stables. Clearly show the vaulted ceiling and the old stone foundations, now exposed. The floor was low, to keep the animals warm as possible. Upstairs, where today there are the reception and a cozy living room, there was the old "kitchen" and "dining room". Everything so along with rooms for riders upstairs identified the old house as a hotel in 1600.

Finally the name, L 'Antico Forziere, stems from the fact that during the recovery some old coins and an old chest were found under the ruins of the restaurant. From this fact are the names of the rooms (Lira, Solido, Quattrino, Scudo, Sesterzio ...) which open to the first and second floors.

> LA STORIA: Sulle pareti esterne è possibile “leggere” i passaggi nel tempo di questa casa di campagna. La famiglia Rodella ne è proprietaria dal 2005. I fratelli gemelli, Stefano e Andrea, sono gli chef, i genitori sono un po’ i tuttofare e Samuele gestisce la sala ristorante e la reception. La ristrutturazione di quello che era un vecchio cascinale è iniziata nel 1998 ed è terminata nel 2000. Fu abitato fino alla fine degli Anni ’50 da un folto gruppo di famiglie contadine. Il recupero dei materiali costruttivi è stato pressoché integrale. La facciata, che evidenzia l'utilizzo di materiali diversi, mostra in modo chiaro i tanti “passaggi temporali”. La sua costruzione risale agli inizi del '600 e sembra sia stata voluta dalla chiesa per dare ristoro a cavalli e cavalieri sulla strada per Roma.

Il piano terra, oggi sala ristorante, era un tempo occupato dalle stalle. Lo dimostrano chiaramente il soffitto voltato e le antiche fondamenta in pietra, oggi a vista. Il pavimento era basso, per tenere gli animali il più possibile al caldo. Al piano superiore, dove oggi ci sono la reception e un salotto accogliente con il grande camino in pietra, si trovava la vecchia "cucina" e "sala da pranzo". Il tutto quindi insieme alle stanze per i cavalieri al piano superiore identificavano l'antico casale come un albergo del 1600.

Infine il nome, L' Antico Forziere, nasce dal fatto che in fase di recupero furono trovate delle vecchie monete e un antico forziere sotto i ruderi del ristorante. Da ciò infatti vengono anche i nomi delle stanze (Lira, Solido, Quattrino, Scudo, Sesterzio…) che si aprono al primo e secondo piano.
