Located at 636 m. s.l.m., was the subject of an Integrated Recovery Project (P.I.R.) following the damage caused by the earthquake of 1997 and reopened, together with the church of San Giovanni in 2009, at the end of the works. It is a small fortified town of high medieval origin, characterized by a dense urban fabric, but now devoid of the wall circuit that once encircled it and of which some remains only on the eastern side.
The village is perfectly restored after the earthquake of 1997 and has regained its former glory, the houses (although second homes) are frequently inhabited mainly during the summer and the landscape is particularly well looked after. A community in Padua has renovated an old building bought before the earthquake and used it as a youth reception center, especially scouts and oratories, which brought great vitality to a center that seemed destined to die.

Posto a 636 m. s.l.m., è stato oggetto di un Progetto Integrato di Recupero (P.I.R.) in seguito ai danni causati dal sisma del 1997 e riaperto, insieme alla chiesa di San Giovanni nel 2009, a conclusione dei lavori. Si tratta di un piccolo centro fortificato di origine alto medioevale, caratterizzato da un fitto tessuto urbano, ma ormai privo del circuito murario che un tempo lo cingeva e di cui rimangono alcuni resti solo sul lato orientale.
Il paese si presenta perfettamente restaurato dopo il sisma del 1997 e ha riacquistato il suo antico splendore, le casa (seppur seconde case) sono frequentemente abitate soprattutto nel periodo estivo e il paesaggio è particolarmente curato. Una comunità di Padova ha ristrutturato un vecchio edificio acquistato prima del Terremoto e lo ha adibito a Centro di accoglienza giovanile soprattutto scout e oratori, il che ha portato una grande vitalità in un centro che sembrava destinato a morire.
