In a fluvial environment, near the walls of the city of Bevagna, near the fifteenth-century tower of the gate, called "dei Molini", there is an artificial reservoir, formed by the damming of the river Clitunno. The small pond, locally called "Accolta", is used to collect the waters that, by fall, operate the shovels of the contiguous still operating grain mill. On the stretch of water a long public wash-house overlooks where women, until not many years ago, went to wash their clothes. The Accolta is visible from the overhanging bridge on which, around 1880, two small houses built which were used by the customs officials.

In un ambiente fluviale, al limite delle mura della città di Bevagna, nei pressi del torrione quattrocentesco della porta, detta “dei Molini”, si trova un invaso artificiale, formato dallo sbarramento del fiume Clitunno. Il piccolo laghetto, localmente denominato “Accolta”, serve a raccogliere le acque che, per caduta, azionano le pale del contiguo mulino a grano ancora funzionante. Sullo specchio d’acqua si affaccia un lungo lavatoio pubblico dove le donne, fino a non molti anni fa, andavano a lavare i panni. L’Accolta è visibile dal ponte sovrastante su cui sono state costruite, intorno al 1880, due piccole case che servivano ai funzionari del dazio.
